The Hermeshof is a single farmstead north of Rommerskirchen and south of Nettesheim am Gillbach. As early as 1195, the farm was first mentioned as "Hermundishoven". The Hermeshof was owned by the Cistercian Abbey of Altenberg (1133-1803) from 1244 until secularization around 1800.
