Alternative to the parking lot in Uttewalde, and free of charge. There are several hiking options in the Uttewalder Grund from here. On the one hand via the Alte Uttewalder Straße past the war memorial and the Bruno Barthel memorial stone in the paid parking lot in Uttewalde, or in the other direction via the Buschholzstraße in the direction of Teufelsgrund/Teufelsschluchte/Heringshöhle. A third path leads from the car park directly to the Uttewalder Grund, arriving near the Gaststätte Waldidylle.

The hiking car park (Saxon Switzerland National Park) on Wehlener Straße is free and is close to the Uttewalder hiking car park, which is subject to a fee. From here, you can hike various trails, such as the Teufelsgrund trail. Refreshments include Waldidylle (Please note! See opening hours).
