The "Setzebrünnele" ⛲ got its name from the "Setze", a rocky ledge that stretches eastwards above the Brünnlein to behind the Türnleberg and is sometimes called "Burgrain". of the Stuben and the reed sandstone.
In the summer of 1910, the first chairman of the Schwenningen Black Forest Association, Hermann Rupp, developed the area around the Setzebrünnele by building two wooden bridges over the folds in the terrain with his sons and laying out hiking trails, plank steps and benches. On the occasion of its 25th anniversary in 1927, the local branch of the Black Forest Association replaced the wooden source of the Settebrünnele with a brick water trough and a shield wall. To this day, the Settebrünneie reminds of the deserving local historian and promoter of the migration movement.
