The observation tower is located within the Kirchberg facilities - which are unfortunately no longer maintained - at a height of 678m. The tower itself is about 22 meters high and closed all year round; don't be fooled by the sign on the door, the restaurant where you can supposedly get the key is no longer open.

Originally, on the spot where the observation tower was built in 1895 by the beautification association, there was a watchtower from the time of Margrave Friedrich.
