Tips

  • The Blue Castle was built in three construction phases in 1676, 1711-18 and 1756-58 by the barons and later counts of Seckendorff-Aberdar.
In 1745 the barons built the Red Castle.
The Lords of Seckendorff, a widespread aristocratic family, have always been high-ranking officials and ministers to the margraves and respective governments.
Its origins go back to the small town of Seckendorf near Cadolzburg in 1254.
