The church is a well-preserved hall building made of fieldstone blocks from 1260 with a west transept tower; the recessed rectangular choir was renovated in late Gothic style. The half-timbered top of the tower dates from 1829. There is a pointed arch stepped portal on the west and north sides; the northern one was walled up but has since been reopened.
