Very nice, tranquil little place with a lot to discover! Lindenberg was first mentioned in documents in 1384, initially under the name Lintberghe. During the 16th century the names Lindtbeck, Lindberk and Lindtberge also existed. The current name Lindenberg appeared for the first time in 1652 and is still valid today.

Cycling

Between about 1448 and 1514, after the devastation caused by the plague, the survivors fled to the Tüchen Mountains and initially built a new village there. From about 1540, however, the Lindenbergers moved back to the old place. The church was probably built in the 14th century, but the tower was not built until the next century.
