On an old dump, 150 meters southwest of the other surface buildings of this mine, stands the Powder House, built in 1844 and colloquially known as the Powder Tower due to its circular floor plan. It has a diameter of 7 meters and an eave height of approximately 2 meters. The Powder House is solidly constructed from strong rubble stone walls and has a strong, restored iron door with hinges and a basket arch.
