The hut landlady serves homemade dairy products such as semi-hard cheese, cream cheese, mozzarella, drinking yoghurt, cheesecake, etc. There is also beer and homemade elderberry juice. We had a mixed cheese and bacon platter that was absolutely delicious. There was also homemade bread. Just bought a loaf of cheese to take away. Payment is at your own discretion. In my opinion the most beautiful stop in the area, quiet, great view, friendly hut landlady and delicious food, what more could you want!

Hiking

The Reggnalm, sometimes also called Reggenalm, is a milking pasture at 2248 meters above sea level above the East Tyrolean town of St. Jakob in Defereggen in the outer zone of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
The alpine pasture site has been in use for centuries, and the hut that stands today was rebuilt in the 1920s after a fire.
