The small chapel was built in 1669, renovated in 1764 and partially rebuilt in 1785. Renovations took place in 1950, 1990 and 1999.

The simple, largely unadorned building has a flat barrel vault on the inside. A canopy painting was uncovered in the apse in 1991. The altar consists of a copy of the famous Innsbruck Mariahilf picture by Lukas Cranach and was given a new frame with a wreath of rays in the early 1950s.
