"During archeological excavations in the 1980s, a large burial mound was discovered in Telgte-Raestrup, to which an almost 40 meter long avenue of posts leads. It is believed that burials took place here around 3,700 years ago in a procession-like ceremony. As part of the "Regionale 2004" the burial mounds and the avenue of posts along the EmsRadweg were reconstructed."
