The beast of prey - WG: bear and wolf live here in an enclosure.
Both species get along, but still have their retreat when they want to avoid each other.

Our brown bears Siggi and Karla moved in with us in 1998 when they were two years old. She's seen many wolves come and go over the years. They are, so to speak, the fixed size in our predatory flat share. They are now in the last third of their lives. They have become calmer and more composed. Climbing tours up to the tallest oaks are a thing of the past. Bathing is still a major fun for the two. Luckily, the veterinarian is only a very rare guest with the bears. Only Siggi had to have a tooth pulled. They get their daily portion of meat in the house to avoid fights with the wolves. They get their vegetable food components outside. The wolves don't really care about that. Delicious desserts such as honey or jam are particularly popular with the bears. Good for us, because we can use it to administer feed additives or medication in a targeted manner.
