The Church of Our Lady is located at Frue Kirkestræde 8, in 5700 Svendborg.

It was probably built in the first half of the 12th century with a nave and chancel. In the second half of the 14th century, the church was converted into a nave with the construction of a new chancel.

The transepts, of which the northern one is the oldest, were probably built around 1400. The tower and porch were built in the late Middle Ages.

The sacristy, dating from 1884, replaced a medieval sacristy on the same site. The church received its present appearance through an extensive restoration in 1884. The altarpiece dates from around 1604, with paintings by C.W. Eckersberg from 1824-1825. The pulpit has the dates 1597 and 1599 carved into the basket. The figures of the basket and other details were carved in 1884 by the woodcarver Erik Nielsen from Hesselager. The baptismal font, dating from 1884, was made by the sculptor Otto Evens.
