The Aschau 💦 is a stream in the Südheide Nature Park in Lower Saxony, a right tributary of the Lachte, which flows into the Aller. The Aschau rises as the Drellebach in a dry valley that is a good 5 kilometers long and is sunk into the southern slope of the forest-covered Lüß plateau in the Südheide. After 1.8 kilometers, the stream feeds the Loher Teiche, which were artificially created in the 1890s. From the confluence of the almost parallel Daller Bach coming from the left, the stream is called Aschau.Together with the Aschauteiche, which were created from 1903 onwards, a connected area of around 50 artificially created fish ponds has been created.Bicycle and pedestrian bridge over the Aschau to the outdoor pool or Schützenplatz.
