Conquering the Schönerstädter Höhe by bike from the direction of Börnichen / Oederan is something special. You are rewarded with a magnificent view. To the south, in clear weather, you can see Augustusburg, Fichtelberg and Keilberg (the left of the two), to the west the Chemnitz chimney and the Ferris wheel in the Sonnenlandpark, and to the northwest, with a bit of luck, the Borna heating plant near Leipzig and sometimes even the Battle of the Nations Monument.
