At the end of Schuitstraat, over the Dender River: a pleasant and structurally interesting truss arch bridge (riveted I- and L-shaped irons), supported by supports (for expansion) on brick piers with natural stone decoration. Early 20th century (circa 1910?). => is designated as a protected monument. Iron pedestrian bridge over the Dender River.

This protection has been valid since July 16, 1987.

In the Middle Ages, there was a wooden or stone bridge here, later it became a ferry and in 1913 this bridge was put into use. In May 1940, the bridge was blown up by retreating English soldiers and broke into 2 pieces. After a partial renovation in 1941, the bridge was completely restored in 1948. On 16 July 1987, the bridge was finally classified because of its value in terms of iron architecture and industrial archaeology.

The bridge is only accessible to cyclists and walkers.
