The castle park in Großen-Buseck was created in 1754 as a baroque garden at Buseck Castle. The approximately 400-year-old oak tree behind the monument to Ferdinand von Nordeck zur Rabenau suggests that the park is much older.
As part of the reconstruction of the castle, the park was also converted into an English landscape garden around 1860. Here you can also find a sequoia tree that was planted around 1860 and is one of the oldest in Hesse.

The castle park has some very old trees and a beautiful pond. Is very quiet next to the old castle in Buseck. The whole area is surrounded by a wall with some passages. Admission is free.
