Medieval Tower House

Between the 11th and 12th centuries, the city of Alba bustles with life.
The cathedral and town hall, located on the main square, are the economic and spiritual heart of the city.
Important public places, ranging from weekly markets, public appointments of magistrates, folk festivals or medieval sports competitions took place here. Very important in this medieval period was to guarantee the safety of the city. This was done, as in many medieval cities, by building a city tower. Tower guards guarded the city day and night. In the event of disaster, bells were rung (belfry) and important families of the city took up residence in the defense tower. This building was part of the medieval security system in the city of Alba. Admire and absorb the medieval atmosphere of yesteryear at this location.
