The Drevenacker dunes are a nature reserve north of the Lippe, divided into two sub-areas at Wittenberg (this section) and Drevenack (komoot.de/highlight/459211). The inland dunes consist of dry, nutrient-poor sandy soil, interrupted by moist hollows with marshy soil and moist heather. The diversity of soils leads to varied flora and fauna.
