The Rodeberg is a witness hill in the Belgian village of Westouter. It is one of the hills in the municipality of Heuvelland and the West Flemish Heuvelland. The Rodeberg is 138 meters high. On the northern and western flanks is the Hellegatbos, a forest area that serves as a nature and hiking area. The name of the forest refers to a deep ravine at the bottom of the Rodeberg, the "hole in hell" where "helle" in the regional language stands for hill.

    Abandoned recreation area Kosmos

The Kosmos recreation center was located in this area. Until the 1980s, this was one of the major leisure centers of the province, both for families and for camps and school trips. Especially the outdoor swimming pool was very well known. Gradually, however, the center fell into disrepair and in 2002 the swimming pool's permit was revoked.

In the wooded area on top of the Rodeberg is the Lijstermolen, which is protected together with that environment. The Cordoba chairlift, the only funicular in the province, departs close by. The cable car connects the Rodeberg with the Vidaigneberg. In clear weather, the coast is visible in a northwesterly direction.

The name comes from the word "roden" which in the local language means to grubbing or deforestation and refers to the first deforestation on the mountain in the 10th and 11th centuries. Around 1900 the so-called "short-dwellings" lived on the mountain, these were families in small, scant houses. The men earned money from French farmers, the women by selling motifs knitted by them. Until the beginning of the 19th century, the mountain was almost completely covered with heather, gradually plots with coniferous and deciduous trees were planted. During the First World War, the mountain was heavily shelled and a barren plain was left that was replanted.

On the Rodeberg is a Lourdes cave from 1875, built in ironstone.

The Rodeberg is part of the so-called central ridge in the Heuvelland, which also consists of the Watenberg, Kasselberg, Wouwenberg, Katsberg, Boeschepeberg, Kokereelberg, Zwarteberg, Vidaigneberg, Baneberg, Sulferberg, Goeberg, Scherpenberg, Monteberg, Kemmelberg and Letteberg. To the south of this ridge is the basin of the Leie, to the north of this ridge the basin of the Yser.
