On the Isles of Scilly, some things are gentle and many things are wild. Belong to the archipelago of the Isles of Scilly

In addition to five inhabited islands (St. Mary's, Tresco, St. Martin's, St. Agnes and Bryher), around 140 islands with great scenic beauty and untouched nature. The archipelago is located

Approximately 45 km southwest of Land’s End, Cornwall, in the Atlantic, at the entrance to the English and Bristol Channels. The islands used to be every sailor's nightmare: Because of the many cliffs and underwater rocks, the area was notorious for being difficult waters and, despite the lighthouses built in the 19th century, was the fate of many ships. Today the islands are a holiday paradise with wonderful sandy beaches, gigantic granite formations, beautiful deciduous forests and moorland landscapes. Since the islands are washed by the Gulf Stream, the climate is almost subtropical. Tresco, our destination today, is the second largest island in the Isles of Scilly in the United Kingdom and the only private, family-owned island. It impresses with its fantastic beauty and tempts with a variety of landscape formations - from rugged granite rocks to white sandy beaches. In contrast to the rest of the Isles of Scilly, which are mostly undeveloped for tourism, Tresco is a sought-after resort whose economy is determined by tourism. Tresco is home to the subtropical park Tresco Abbey Gardens. The gardens, created in the 19th century, are located on the site of a former Benedictine abbey. The remains of two fortifications can also be found on Tresco: the forts King Charles Castle and Cromwell's Castle date from the 17th and 20th centuries

    18th century.

Beautiful way. Great bays that become more and more beautiful and sandy towards the north.
