    Hiking

Glienicke Palace with its numerous outbuildings was built as a summer palace for Prince Carl, the third son of Friedrich Wilhelm III, based on plans by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. The prince paid great attention to the fact that the palace and park form a unit. This made the property an important work of art of the 19th century. Even rather insignificant outbuildings, such as the court gardener and machine house, became castle-like complexes that blend harmoniously into the meticulously modeled landscape.

The Court Gardener and Machine House was built in 1837/1838 by Ludwig Persius in the style of an Italian castle.

Unfortunately I have not found a description for this "villa". Looks like a mixture of castle and house.
