As befits a royal corner, there are also a large number of castle ruins here, the age of knights is over. One of them can be found above the Hopfensee. As already written, the direct route from/to Hopfen is very steep. Small children should not be left unattended. But there are nice alternatives through the Hopferwald, which are longer but also flatter. In Komoot simply take the paths further north. Those who arrive (healthy) at the ruins will be rewarded with a very fine panorama, especially in the evening hours.
