The signposted cycle route (BT 21) leads over gravel forest paths from the Preunersfelder Rangen (630m) down to the cycle route fork on the road from Schnabelwaid to Preunersfeld. It's a lot further than the direct route down and the last 500 m or so to Preunersfeld have to be covered on the road. Nevertheless, it is probably the better way for non-mountain bikers.
In the opposite direction, it is a long, sometimes steep climb to the highest point of the cycle route. Unfortunately, the direct way down to Preunersfeld is quite overgrown with tall grass.
