Friedrich Wilhelm Witte opened a small pastry shop on April 30, 1891 at Niedergasse 21 in Stolberger. In the decades that followed, success grew and the company expanded. In 1926, production started in a new factory building with a large furnace. An own power and gas generation plant even supplied the Central German region. In 1972 the company was expropriated. A good 20 years later, in 1993, the reprivatization was completed - biscuit production had come to a standstill in the meantime. Since then there has been a small café and a factory outlet in Stolberg again.

I didn't know the products and had never heard of them. Nevertheless, a small selection ended up in my shopping basket. And I have to say that it was the right decision. The products are just very, very good!

In 2016, we looked back with joy on the 125th anniversary of our company. After a history with ups and downs, the company with its approximately 25 employees is now once again an essential part of our historic town of Stolberg and the only manufacturing business in the town.

We are now the regional supplier for the retail trade in Saxony-Anhalt, northern Thuringia and the Harz.

On this special occasion, we remember with gratitude the founders and all those who laid the foundation for what we have achieved today. Thanks also go to the employees who, in recent years after the period of "public ownership" and reunification, have helped to rebuild the collapsed production and run-down production facility.

THANK YOU also to all customers who have remained loyal to us and diligently recommend us to acquaintances, friends and relatives.
