Hiking
Nice to run around the lake once. Especially in summer. If you have dogs with you, you can get to the lake from both sides.

The Echtzer See is a bathing lake near Echtz, a district of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia. It is the remainder lake of the former lignite mining Alfred, in which lignite was mined from 1918 to 1941. At the lake are the places Echtz and Konzendorf. The recreational lake has a large stock of trees. Directly on the lake is a campsite and a restaurant. The maximum of 18 meters deep lake is used by Dürener underwater club as a diving water. The bathing supervision lies with the German life-saving society Ortsgruppe Aldehoven (DLRG). The barbecue hut can be rented.
