The Echtzer See was formerly a quarry pond and invites you to swim, the adjacent sandy area is partly in the shade. For children there is a separate swimming area as well as play equipment in the water, which is ideal for climbing, sliding and jumping. There are also lawns for sunbathing, a snack bar, a beer terrace and a campsite.

The Echtzer See is a bathing lake near Echtz, a district of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia. It is the remnant lake of the former Alfred open-cast lignite mine, where lignite was extracted from 1918 to 1941. The villages of Echtz and Konzendorf are located on the lake. The recreational lake has a large number of trees.
