The War Memorial in Sevenum was unveiled on May 4, 1946. The artwork commemorates the civilian victims and the Dutch resistance in World War II.

The monument is made up of a large, bent propeller and stones. The stones come from the church, which was destroyed in the war. The memorial plaque lists the names of the fallen inhabitants of Sevenum. It also has the text Bent but not broken. The propeller of the statue comes from a shot down English bomber. The English plane made an emergency landing near here in November 1944, the day of the liberation of Sevenum. The symbolism of the monument reads: Above the rubble, caused by the war in our village, the wings of liberation rise high, bent, not broken.
