You have to be careful to find the monument. Above the open basement. One finds almost without exception names that can be found on the German page NEW. A trip back in time.....

As a memorial to the many dead, such cenotaphs or war memorials remain very important to this day. "Now, Lord, you let your servant depart in peace, as you have said...", says the so-called "Hymn of Simeon" (Luke 2:29). However, the people commemorated here did not depart in peace, but became victims of war and tyranny. Therefore, the term "war memorial" is sometimes used instead of the previously common term "war memorial."
Many of these monuments encountered along the way are a testament to the horrors of war and tyranny – a testament that remains significant and relevant even today. They all have two essential functions, and this continues anew for each generation:
-1- To commemorate and remember the victims
-2- To remind us of the need to maintain peace
