The Ittertal reservoir is quite picturesque on the side of the road, but is not ideal for swimming. Currently (08/2023) the road surface of the L2311 Eberbach/Gaimühle is not super smooth, but it is definitely decent. However, the forest path on the other side of the valley is not recommended for racing bikes - this is only suitable for gravel bikes.
