In the Henry Ford Building of the Freie Universität Berlin, you will find lecture halls and conference rooms as well as the university library. The building was built from 1952 to 1954 according to the plans of the architects Franz Heinrich Sobotka and Gustav Müller. The building is named after Henry Ford II, the grandson of Henry Ford who organized the financing of the building complex in the amount of about eight million German marks by the US-American Ford Foundation.
