At the end of the 19th century, part of the formerly burned down building of the Laxenburg fire department was transferred for the construction of a prop depot. The "Laxenburg Agricultural Casino" was founded in 1894. In 1939, the association "Landwirtschaftliches Casino" was dissolved. The municipality of Vienna became the owner and in 1954 everything was handed over to the municipality of Laxenburg. In 1991, the local history museum was established in the building.
