In this place there used to be a mill powered by streams flowing from the Oliwa hills. The mill was demolished at the turn of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, before the end of 1600. Mills in Stara Oliwa were not only places where grains were ground, but also industrial plants producing various goods for the needs of the then market.
