Visit us at the Freudenau power plant and experience in 90 minutes an exciting look behind the scenes of power generation. In the information center with its own cinema, various display objects and a large power plant model, the story of hydropower and that of the power plant is told. Wien-Freudenau is the tenth and youngest power plant on the Danube and has been supplying electricity from hydropower since 1998. The Fischwanderhilfe was the first of its size and trend-setting for ecological power plant construction.
