The Parliament Building of Georgia is the headquarters of the Georgian Parliament in Tbilisi. The building is located on Rustavelis Gamsiri. The building was built as the seat of government of the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic. The upper part of the building was built between 1933 and 1938 based on designs by architects Viktor Kokorin and Giorgi Leschava. The lower part along Rustavelis Gamsiri was designed by the same architects together with Vladimir Nazaridze and built from 1946 to 1953. The ensemble of buildings is an important example of a regional interpretation of socialist classicism.

Hiking

Right next to the Vorontsov Palace is the parliament, built in 1938 and expanded in 1958, magnificent and pompous. With the exception of the years 2012-18 (Kutaisi), the parliament always met here.
