A scenic circular hiking trail leads around the mountain, offering panoramic views across large parts of the Eastern Ore Mountains, extending to Saxon Switzerland and the Lusatian Mountains.

Luchberg: A 576.2 m (2,200 ft) high basalt cone. It was formed approximately 30 million years ago during the great Tertiary period of volcanism, when the deep interior of Europe became highly active.
