    Church of St. John the Baptist, Catanzaro
    Believed to have been built between the late '400 and enlarged around 1532. It was erected by the Brotherhood of John the Baptist and the Evangelist and his brothers are Knights of Malta ad honorem. The facade of the late Renaissance church is enlivened by a later built ellipsoidal staircase and a portal carved in local stone. Above the portal there is a niche in which the statue of the saint is located.
