The Roman Catholic, listed branch church of the Assumption of Mary is located in Degerndorf, a part of the market town of Lupburg in the district of Neumarkt in Upper Palatinate. The church belongs to the parish church of St. Barbara in Lupburg in the deanery of Laaber in the diocese of Regensburg.

The 14th century church, which was destroyed in the Thirty Years' War, was not rebuilt until 1737. It consists of a nave covered with a gable roof and a square choir tower in the east, which is covered with a pyramid roof. The sacristy was added to the east. The top floor of the choir tower houses the tower clock and the belfry, in which three church bells hang.[1] The interior of the nave is covered with a flat ceiling framed by coves. The ceiling painting dates from the 18th century. It was later painted over, but uncovered again in 1954. The church's furnishings include a high altar built around 1500, whose altarpiece depicting Mary is flanked on both sides by two columns. The organ was built in 1702 by Johann Conrad Vogel.
