The Uwharrie Trail / Uwharrie National Recreation Trail is a 40.7 km trail of moderate difficulty. Three main trailheads provide access to the trail. These include the beginning and ending points at trailhead parking on NC Highway 24/27 (southern end) and trailhead parking on SR 1306 (Flint Hill Road) (northern end) respectively as well as one on NC Highway 109.
