The Uwharrie Trail / Uwharrie National Recreation Trail is a 40.7 km trail of moderate difficulty. Three main trailheads provide access to the trail. These include the beginning and ending points at trailhead parking on NC Highway 24/27 (southern end) and trailhead parking on SR 1306 (Flint Hill Road) (northern end) respectively as well as one on NC Highway 109. Other roads also cross the trail, which have limited parking.
