The 5.5-kilometer route on the southern edge of the Haard in the Recklinghausen district has been upgraded to a forest promenade.
The Haard Grenzweg is the hinge between forest and field. Its special features are the sunny location on the edge of the forest and the interesting views of the open countryside. It is also easily accessible via several hiking car parks.
