Erected in memory of the willing soldiers of the Carabinieri who perished on 31 October 1977 in the Monte Covello air disaster.
The iron monument and the bas-reliefs are the work of Prof. „Filippo Eduardo“. The mosaics were made in the specialized laboratory "Mellini" in Florence on sketches by Prof. "Vincenzo Lamantea"
