The Ringsee is a small side bay of the Tegernsee, which lies between the Rottach district of Weißach and Bad Wiessee. The name Ringsee comes from "low" and makes the contrast to the "big" Tegernsee clear. The bay with a size of about 300 by 600 m (14.2 ha) is located directly in the estuary of the Weißach. Even if you walk along the main road here, the great views over the bay make up for the traffic noise.
