Lake Krakow

With an area of over 15km², Lake Krakow is one of the largest lakes in the Mecklenburg Lake District.

The southern part of the Krakower See, the Obersee, is under nature protection and is part of the Nossentiner / Schwinzer Heide nature park. The northern part, the Untersee, is used for tourism and is ideal for cycling and hiking with flat paths close to the shore.

On your way around the lake you will pass many playful bays and peninsulas that make the landscape and the lake so interesting and varied. In one or the other bay you will also find bathing spots that you can use in summer to rest and cool off in the fresh water.
