The wooded hilltop of the Galgenberg above the Triebischtal is a natural monument. On the northern edge there is one of the most beautiful long-distance views through the Triebischtal to Meissen with the easily recognizable striking double tower front of the cathedral.

On the Galgenberg, there is an old pitchstone quarry. It's worth looking a little off the track. It offers a fabulous view of the Triebischtal valley toward the Elbe River.
