Over sheep pastures and on dirt roads you wander through the wild and romantic Black Valley. The secluded valley was the last place in Ireland to be connected to the electricity and telephone network. To date, the place has preserved its originality.

Beautiful, very lonely tour. You need waterproof shoes (or Tevas). Access unfortunately only on the "Dunloe Gap" possible. Therefore, before 9 clock over the pass start, otherwise the road is closed with carriages. From noon on it gets really crowded (patience and caution when driving!). Except the tourist-carriages there are no public access routes. But you will be rewarded with a long and very quiet hike! (Take food and drink - there is nothing in the valley)
