Klein Düben is located not far from Tschernitz in a south-easterly direction. To the south is the municipality of Kromlau, which already belongs to Saxony and has one of the most beautiful rhododendron parks in Germany. With its 114 inhabitants, it is the most sparsely populated place in the Döbern-Land district (area: 485 hectares). First mentioned in 1490 as Dybe, Klein Düben combines the rural idyll typical of Lower Lusatia. With a manor house, a small estate park, the Gutsbach, which was once rich in fish and which flows further east into the Föhrenfliess, with buildings that represent the old and new times in terms of construction, it radiates a homely flair. The so-called Klein Dübener Schloss, formerly a robber baron's castle surrounded by a small wall and only accessible via a drawbridge, was expanded and converted into a manor house around 1903 by the then owner Karl August Wecker. After 1945, the house and the associated park were transferred to the municipality. In 1989, the municipality had the manor house completely renovated, and it has been privately owned since 2021. Worth seeing is the small "Chapel for the Love of God" with a bell tower, which was built in community work between 1951 and 1955. A stork's nest with its young storks, which has been inhabited in summer for many years, is right on the Glastour cycle path. This leads through the area of the Muskau Arch.
