Nepomuk was founded around 1150 by the Cistercian monastery in Klaster.
It has been a town since 1413 and burned down in 1420.
Johannes Nepomuk was born in Pomuk around 1350.
The Gothic St. James Church, the Church of St. John of Nepomuk, the Town Hall with a beautiful market square and the Grunberg Castle are the sights of this Bohemian town.
