"Maria Visitation" is a really worth seeing pilgrimage church, the age of which is not documented. The folk tradition, however, wants to attribute the origin to a battle that was fought in 976 between Emperor Otto II and Heinrich II, the brawler, in the so-called "blood moat" below Mendorferbuch in the forest).
