The natural arch has always been the symbol of Palinuro and divides on one side the equipped beach with kiosk and mooring for boats heading towards the caves and on the other from the private beach which can be reached by passing under the natural hole.
Unfortunately, the small beach that has attracted crowds of tourists is at risk of collapsing despite the nets arranged to contain any landslides.

The wall has been secured with thick metal netting, and passage is now permitted. However, if a rock were to fall from above, even one as big as a coin, it could be fatal, so I'd better move quickly and look up.
