The current neo-Gothic building was built in 1860 at the request of the municipality to house the municipal staff and other services. After the merger of the municipalities, the population grew and so did the administration. The municipal staff moved to another room. This neo-Gothic town hall, a design from 1860, initially also served as a justice of the peace for the canton of Brecht. It remained that way until 1970, when the tax inspectorate took up residence there. This former town hall is accessible free of charge by appointment.
